Training runs from Jandakot Airport at a pace that suits you, from spin and upset recovery through to the full aerobatics rating.

Push your limits. Master the sky.
What you can train
Spin training and upset recovery
Learn to recognise, avoid and recover from stalls, spins and unusual attitudes. Some of the most valuable handling training any pilot can do.
Advanced handling
Sharpen your stick and rudder skills with precision manoeuvring, energy management and attitude awareness that carry straight back into everyday flying.
Aerobatics rating
Work through the full sequence of manoeuvres and ground theory required for the CASA aerobatic endorsement, at a pace that suits you.

Aerobatics FAQs
- Do I need a pilot licence to fly aerobatics?
- A pilot licence is required if you want to work towards the aerobatics rating itself. Get in touch and I can outline what prior experience is most useful for the training.
- How long does an aerobatics rating take?
- It varies with your experience and how often you fly, but the flying component is usually around 5 hours. Training is structured around a series of flights covering each manoeuvre plus the associated ground theory, and progresses at your pace rather than to a fixed schedule.
- Where does the training happen?
- Flights operate out of Jandakot Airport in Perth, Western Australia, using the training areas nearby.
- Will I get airsick?
- Most people are fine. The first flights are flown gently and progressively, and you set the pace — we stop or ease off any time you want. Fly on a light stomach, stay hydrated and tell your instructor how you're feeling.
- Is aerobatic training useful if I only fly normal cross-country flights?
- Yes. Spin awareness, upset recovery and precise attitude control make you a safer, more confident pilot in any aircraft, which is why many pilots do aerobatic training purely for the handling benefit.
- What should I wear and bring?
- Comfortable clothes and closed shoes are all you need. Bring your licence and logbook if you're training towards a rating, plus sunglasses and water.
